So so so tired...

She was so tired that she fell asleep halfway through lunch! The first time it ever happened!

It's all my fault actually for I ke kiang.. Wanna make her something new to eat. So I made some ang moh lunch for her instead of her usual brown rice cereal. Cooked minced chicken with broccoli, carrots and potatoes. She spat out her first mouth, which she normally does when she tries something new. Tried a second time, and she had that "want to vomit" face. Sigh. So quickly cook brown rice cereal for her but by the time I was done, she was simply too tired. Had a few mouthfuls and.....

Her lunch ended up being my lunch instead. Not bad lei. Sweet although no seasonings were added. Yummy.

Finally.....

Erlyna decided all on her own that she would take the next step and started clapping.

Was changing her diapers as per usual, preparing her for bedtime. I didn't know what prompted her but she just started clapping for no apparent reason. It actually took this sleepy and tired mummy quite a while to realise that the 'piak piak piak' sound came from her clapping! Ahhhhh... those soft little 'piak piak' sounds is one of the best piece of music to your ears.

Am thinking if it could be coincidence that she clapped, I tried getting her to mimic me and to my delight, she clapped again!

She must be pretty delighted with her newfound skill for the clappings kept coming and coming even after I switched off the lights for bedtime.

Some might think I am getting excited over nothing for clapping isn’t something difficult to do. All it takes is slapping your hands together to make a sort of noise. But it's really such an amazing sight and it makes it all that much better especially when she is your own baby. It is so amazing it's like receiving a special gift from your special someone that just touches your heart and makes you remember the day forever.

My little Erlyna is growing up!
