OCC Outing

This post is way too back dated. Cos I only recently received the pics, I can only post them up now.

Brought Erlyna to OCC to attend our group gathering (and also to celebrate Jerry's birthday) in early October. She had her maiden dip in the pool and she loved it. Finally had the chance to use her huge mushroom float!

Getting ready to enter the pool. She's shy...

Into the pool she goes.. feeling a little apprehensive about her float.

Daddy brought her out to the middle of the pool for a little adventure

Then the 3 men decided to take the little baby out again seeing how she enjoyed it the last round

She was so tired after her swim that she fell asleep while we were starting to have dinner.

I like this picture Jerry took of Sarah and Erlyna and stole it from Sarah's blog.. hahaha..

Shopping for Shades

Went shopping for shades today. Mum fetched me to my aunt's shop at Thomson.

It's so hard to choose a pair of nice shades. So many lovely shades! Almost bought 2 pairs at one go but since I've already spent so much recently, decided to buy just one pair first. Luckily aunt said I could use the balance of my unopened boxes of contact lenses to offset my purchase. So I need not pay so much. And I donated the balance of my opened box of lenses to Sis.

Dior has pretty nice shades but were too big for my face. Then saw this pair of Prada shades which I fell in love with but am afraid that the logo by the side would be too flashy and probably not as nai kan as a simple normal pair.

Kei, is this the pair which u said is nice as well?

Anyway, I chose a simple pair which might probably last longer in fashion sense so that I can get more mileage outta it.

Post surgery review. Woke up the next day with pretty clear vision. Almost 75% vision is restored. Am not used to it yet. Kept thinking I had lenses on or wanna reach out to my glasses the min I woke up. hahaha

Vision Reborned

It has been a while since I last blogged and people has been asking me for updates, wanting to know what has been going on with Erlyna. Heee.. Here's a little update but not about Erlyna.. More on mummy.

After deliberating and procastinating for so long, finally decided to go for Lasik. Since The Lasik Surgery Clinic is having promotion for the month of November, decided to do it before November ends to save a couple of hundreds. Paisay, cheapo here lah.. haha

Thumbs up for the service at the clinic. The receptionist there is friendly, the nurses there are all very presentable and my docter (Dr Jon Goh) is friendly and warm too. Waited for 3 hours for the evaluation at the Clinic, saw the doc for less than 3 mins. Very good money for the doc. Said my case is a very straight forward case. I can either opt for the normal blade surgery or the bladeless surgery blah blah. Again, being a cheapo, I chose the normal blade surgery. Teehee.

Hubby was kind enough to have taken leave for me despite his busy schedule to send me to the surgery in the evening. I'm really very greatful to him knowing how he was so against me going for the surgery and also his super low level of patience when it comes to waiting. Told me to relax and not to worry about making him wait (he waited for about 2 and a half hours which is considered very long for him).

The surgery was over in about 10 mins or so. Was told to kept staring at the blinking red light while they put a piece of equipment over my cornea to suck it up a little so the doc can cut a very thin layer of my corneal tissue. Thereafter, I hear sounds of the laser doing the job. When it's done, the doc will reposition the flap. The whole process is totally painless.

Went home straight to rest after the surgery. I was made to wear the eye shield and I looked like I had bee eyes. My eyes were tearing badly and I could hardly keep them open. Was searching frantically for my pair of shades the day before but couldn't find them. Hubby said we could have thrown it away during our last spring cleaning. Haiz. Looks like I need to get a new pair of shades then. Was given 10 days of MC but I need to be back at work on Friday since boss will be going on leave the week thereafter. Meanwhile, it's rest, rest and more rest.
