HB-less & Daddy-less.........

for 3 weeks ah!! HB is going away on reservist starting today. Will only be back on 5 Feb. Was just telling Erlyna over the weekend that Daddy would be going for reservist so she must be guai guai and it'd be easier for me.

As if she knew Daddy would be going away, she woke up earlier than usual this morning and flashed daddy the sweetest smile ever. Made daddy so happy! He gave her a big kiss, say goodbye to his dear daughter and headed off to the door, then back again to give me a kiss as well. Heng ah! Else i'm going to kick his ass big time! Now that he has his daughter, forget about mummy huh!

I really feel blessed to have mum's help during hb's absence. She took time off her busy schedule to fetch Erlyna to MIL's place then me to work. Then come evening, she would fetch me from work, have dinner, then fetch Erlyna again. Phew... I tell ya, your own mum is always the best!

Alas, reached MIL's place and she told me Erlyna LS 3 times today. Shall monitor her first before taking her to the PD. Looks like I must be prepared for a little extra crib-side duty tonight.

2nd Dose of 5-in-1

Erlyna had her 2nd dosage of 5-in-1 jab today. Overslept and reached the clinic late. Since we have to wait, we decided to go for breakfast at kopitiam first.

The weather was a bit hot and hence she got cranky after a while. Quickly gobbled down our breakfast and headed back to the clinic. Waited for another 10 mins before our turn. Erlyna surprised us this time round as she didn't cry during the jab. She was only complaining away as she's very sleepy. Everthing is normal and she's a healthy girl at 7kg.

Attended Keane and Kelly's wedding last nite at Mariott Hotel. We concocted a lovely drink for the groom ... a bottom layer of beer, a middle layer of red wine and finally a layer of XO. hurhurhurhur

Keane managed to gulp it down in one shot but he immediately went to the washroom thereafter.. to puke i guess... >.<

Shopping shopping

It’s really so depressing shopping for my own clothes nowadays. Went shopping with Hubby today after work at IMM intending to buy some clothes for Erlyna from baby fox as they are having end of season sale. Walked pass some boutiques and saw a few interesting pieces of those big big tops that are so In now. Was thinking of grabbing a couple of pieces for CNY to hide my ginormous tummy. Happily tried on the tops and to my dismay, too tight lor!! Damn disheartening can?! Haiz… handed the tops over to the sales assistant saying “Sorry, I cannot wear”. The sales assistant looked at me and said “Oh, too big ah?” to which I just replied “No la, cannot wear” and quickly got out of the shop. Hubby was surprised that the tops are too tight for me and told me to buy maternity wear instead…. *wails*… Think I shall forget about buying clothes for this CNY. Focus on buying for Erlyna instead.

The baby fox at IMM hasn’t got much varieties. They don’t even have the denim skirt which I want. So just bought a skirt, jacket, top and a 2-pc set for Erlyna and got myself a jacket which is on 50% sale! Heh! Swing by FOS and bought a Carters sleepwear set for Erlyna. It’s a steal at only $9.90 which comes with both shorts and long pants!

Chio Chio Becky

Erlyna looks so much like a boy boy!! So far, 9 out of 10 ppl think she's a boy even when she's dressed up in pink! They must be thinking why this crazy mummy dresses her son up in pink.

Helen mentioned previously that if 2 people were to spend more time together, they might turn out to look like each other. Soooooooooo, Becky, please visit my Erlyna more often ya.. so she can be chio chio like u with beautiful fair skin and natural blushers, courtesy of Mr Sun... oh.. forgot to mention this: less the lian-ness pls.. hahahaha.

Happy New Year

Had a mini pot luck party at home yesterday with the usual gang. I opted for the easy potato salad as I have to be Erlyna's maid most of the time.

Look at the massive amount of Spaghetti Eve prepared. Machiam feeding pigs when there were only like eight of us..



The cocktail prepared by HW. Made with Sangria, a refreshing typically Spanish red wine mixed with different fruits. This is actually Flo's favourite but she has to give it a miss cos she has a little one growing in her tummy.



YS surprised us, to our delight, with crabs this year instead of the usual duck. slurppp...




As usual, we have a ton of leftovers. Luckily Flo brought the spaghetti back as she has craving for spaghetti.. Preggy woman's craving lah.. haha... Come next new year's eve celebration, we would have 2 babies!

Erlyna couldn't enjoy the food but she has got presents from Eve which she bought in BKK! Thanks Eve!
